any truth to this?
I was talking to a friend last night about how is most active at night and not so much during the day. She said that means I'll end up going into labor at night then. Hmmm. You think there's any truth to that?

Re: any truth to this?
not sure. I think alot of babies are more active at night because our movements during the day soothe them to sleep. then when we lie down and relax, its party time! Allthough.....DD was this way and I went into labor at 10pm.

Re: any truth to this?
My is the same way. At night she doesnt stop moving!!! I mentioned this to the tech at my level II, and the tech said that she is active all day, I just pay more attention to the movements at night because my mind isnt preoccupied on other things like it is during the day while I am at work. She said her activity is probably the same throughout the day and night. I dont know.....

Re: any truth to this?
I don't think this is true. I think babies are more active at night because: 1) when we are moving around during the day, our movements lull them to sleep. 2) when we relax at night we are more aware of what is going on in our bodies, as opposed to while we are busy during the day and our minds are on other things.
I don't think there is really any rhyme or reason into when labor starts!

Re: any truth to this?
that's what I thought.
In my case, I'm home now and not as active as i was when I was working, so I'm able pay more attention to her movements than I could before. She definitely seems to sleep more during the day and pick up activity around 6pm. And then, like you guys have said, she gets VERY active once I actually lay down to go to sleep around 10:30-ish. I think that's very normal for most babies. So, yeah, I doubt that my friend's statement has truth to it (that baby would come at night). But who knows really.

Re: any truth to this?
Not in my case. I started having contractions at about 6am, but she was most active in the evening.
I think most babies are more active at night. Your movement during the day rocks them to sleep. DD was really active around dinnertime, and now that's her cranky period, lol.

ITA!! I feel like if I laid down at 11am I'd probably feel them being active. But because I am always busy at that time I never notice them. Combo between me being preoccupied and them sleeping because I am on the go.
I went into labor with DS at midnight, 3 hours passed my bedtime when he was always typically quiet.
