Any slow responders with PCOS?
I have pcos and was on the max dosage for repronex this past cycle.I know that Brenner has a marvelous reputation when it comes to PCOS, but he didn't change my protocol from IVF1 to IVF2 and all he said was to lose weight. Easier said than done.
Repronex is both FSH and LH and I've read that additional LH is a no-no with pcos, b/c it can increase the production of androgens, which are already in abundance.
I have my follow-up to this past failed cycle tomorrow and want to be able to tell him what protocol I'd like to be on and see what he says.
I did BCP for 3 weeks, then 450iu of repronex each night.
Any advice for a slow-responding pco'er?

Re: Any slow responders with PCOS?
Sorry, I'm the total opposite, last cycle I stimmed for a total of 8 days.

Re: Any slow responders with PCOS?
I was also a slow responder, especially with the Clomid route. I stimmed for 12 days my first IVF cycle. My 2nd cycle they changed my protocol slightly and started me out on the max dose of Gonal-F and I stimmed for 9 days and had 3 times as many eggs retrieved (18 as opposed to the 6 the first time).
ETA: I had lost a bunch of weight prior to my first IVF cycle and gained alot of it back during my 2nd stim cycle.
