Any plus-sized Mommas who did a maternity shoot?

I have been toying around with the idea of booking a maternity photo shoot but what makes me apprehensive is that I am a plus sized Momma.

I look at these photo shoots of these beautiful pregnant women with amazing bodies...and they look so beautiful, glowing, and radiant.

I would love to have pictures of myself like that, but don't really know how they would come out. Not only am I a size 18/20 now, but before getting pregnant I lost 157 lbs, so I have a lot of skin issues and my body is not perfect.

I guess what I am asking is --- are there any plus sized Moms on the board who have had maternity photo shoots --- and would you be willing to share your pictures with me so that I can get some ideas?

I did not do a professional shoot but my friends played around one night after dinner and we had so much fun!

Photos in Album towards end.

They are in bad lighting, not photoshopped so imagine what a pro can do for you.

I was a size 16/18 when I did mine with DS#1 and I'm soooo happy I did. I will admit I like the shots of me covered up more than the ones where my tummy is out and visible. I'm a size 14 now and we are planning on doing it again.

I don't want to post pics but I would say do it as close to the end as you can and if you are more comfortable, you can keep your body covered. I did mine in well fitting maternity clothes and am happy I have those belly shots. I don't think the rest of me looks that bad, either.

Dh took a picture of me right before we walked out the door to deliver at the hospital. I was scared shitless, tired, and not ready to be a mom. It's the best picture! In my opinion pregnant women just look amazing, no matter their size.

I am definately leaning towards doing it. My sister is an amateur photographer and can take the pictures of me if I would llike her to...or I can ask family to chip in for a shoot with one of the photographers on this site for Christmas. I am due in March so if I did it sometime in late Jan/February it would probably be a good time.

I definately would do a clothed photo shoot! Lol, I wouldn't be opposted to showing my belly in some shots (as in belly skin) because I definately have a belly and look pregnant ... but... I'd want it to be tasteful and I definately don't htink I could do any "sexy" shots like you see on the photographer's websites. That's OK with me.

If any of you get the urge to share your photos with me, you can send me an FM or email me...I would love to see what your photos looked like...to give me some ideas since I do feel very limited.

The way I look at it...my body isn't perfect, but I have lost a considerable amount of weight, more then many women weigh in the first place, and I am proud of that. I have a lot of flaws but they show where I have been.

And this will be my last pregnancy ... we only want to have two children. I shyed away from the camera SO much 6 years ago when I was PG with DD...we have very few pregnant pictures of me from then...I don't want to do that this time again.
