I did a few years ago
I had the worst side effects from clomid...debilitating headaches I had to stop taking it, I did go through with the iui but with no success

I took clomid at night to sleep through some of the side effects. mine were mostly severe irritability, mood swings and hot flashes.
IUIs didn’t really hurt. The worst part is the speculum and the clamp they put at your cervix to get best visual for insertion. When the IUI catheter went Into my cervix , it’s kinda pinched and burned. But I have a very tight cervix (needed to be dilated when had my IVF)
Hopefully, you only need the one and it works!
If not- after your first, it’s no bid deal

I didn't really have any noticeable side effects from the Clomid, but I know it's not uncommon for women to experience them.
As for the IUI, it's basically the same as a PAP smear...the speculum is the worst part for me. When they put the catheter in, 2 out of the 3 times there was a slight pinch that only lasted a second. One time I didn't feel anything, aside from the speculum.
