Any NYC Mommies interested in starting a playgroup?
My DD is a year next month and I'd love to get a playgroup going for any NYC mommies during the week. I'm on the upper east side, but would be willing to travel within reason.
Let me know if anyone is interested!

I would! I am in Brooklyn but I am planning going into Manhattan frequently during the summer. I do belong to two other playgroups so as long as their are no confiicts that would be great!
There are some great events going on this summer in the city as well!

Great! What days/times are good for you both? I can do any day of the week between 11 and 1 or after 2:30 (around her naps). We could meet in Central Park or Carl Schurz?
Where on the UES are you? We are low 80s and Third.
Anyone else?

Well my last day of work is this friday (yay) so anyday would work for me
She naps from about 11:30-1:30, so afternoon may be better for me,
Im in low 90s and 1st so Carl Schurz is perfect for me! (but will travel within reason)

I'm in Brooklyn too, but its hard to travel with DS just yet, he's 11 weeks and fighting the idea of schedule and order, and hates his car seat, its so hard to drive anywhere.
Our closest subway stop is not stroller friendly  and DS hates his infant carrier with a passion.
I can't wait till he grows up a little, he's so social and talks to the TV when we watch any kind of interview or debate.

I'm in Brooklyn and would travel with in reason. I dont drive so it would need to be need a train station. My stop isn't stroller friendly either, but it hasn't stopped me yet.
I plan on taking DS to Central Park a lot this summer too! lmao
DS is 5 months old

Should we plan for lower central park then to accommodate Bkln mommies too? Maybe Sheep's Meadow? The N/R will let you off at 60th St and Central Park South, or the 4/5/6 at 59th and Lex. And then it's no more than a 10 minute walk to the lower park areas. There's a playground nearby too.
Maybe the week after next, around 2pm? What day would work for everybody?

i'd love to join too!!!!! Im in Brooklyn but traveling to the city for me isn't much of a problem. Lower central park would be great for me! I've been dying to meet some mommies, none of my friends have babies and DS turned one on May 12th!!!

sheeps meadoww is good for me but 2 would work better for me or even 3 only bc DS naps around 12 and I wont b able to make it at 1 or maybe even 2 :(

those who would rather early like 12 could meet up and hang out until 2-3. the kids could nap in the park in their carriages or on a blanket. DS takes naps sporadically so I'm used to him napping anywhere at any time. lol
