Any moms out there who plan to go back to college?
I have always wanted to finish up my degree. I have DD and we plan to have one more baby. When they go to school I was thinking of going back.

I'm in the same boat as you.
I always thought I knew what I wanted to do but as I go older I started to have doubts. Now that a few years have gone by I have a better idea of what I REALLY want to do.
DH and I are still up in the air about having more kids, so I'm not sure when I'll go back. I was thinking about taking some night classes and online classes and then switching to day once the kids are older.

I just got terminated from my job yesterday so I have all these options open. I am thinking I want to go back to school in September if we can swing it. I already have a few degrees.. but I have always wanted a degree in Physics..

To the OP: My sister-in-law is doing this. She went back for her bachelors after my nephew was born. She works hard and my mom and grandmother have been helping her out.

I got my second masters after I had #1. It wasn't bad at all.
I got pregnant as I was taking classes towards my PhD - I couldn't keep up when they required full time attendance. 
Now preggo with #3, I want to try again, but I think it's insane, but if I don't do it soon, I'll lose those credits.

I went back to school last year. My daughter was 3 and I did Empire State College strictly online. It is WONDERFUL!!!!! I love it, I have time to do the work and succeed..it's expensive but so worth it. I love doing homework in my pjs with a cup of coffee at night when the house is quiet. Best thing I have ever done for myself (besides having my little girl!) Good luck!!

I'm currently working on my second masters. I started before DD was born, took a couple semesters off when I was pregnant and after she was born and now I have 1 semester to go. Of course, I should have just stuck with it and would have been finished by now. I will have to finish my last semester with a toddler and newborn but I think it is do-able.

Yes I plan on it but am waiting until DS1 is in school full-time so I will only have 1 at home which will make it slightly easier. This is part of the reason we are on the fence for #3.

Kristin, Deb just completed her first yr. for her Masters, with two to go; She wants to TTC in the fall, and is planning to go through her second yr. of college, pregnant, have the baby in June, and be at home with baby during the summer, before going back for her third and last yr. I think I'll be babysitting. Mary

I'm back now. My kids are 4 and 1 and 1/2 and I hope to finish my Masters in 10 years. That sounds INSANE, but I know I will need TIME and I will be 46 and yes I'll be 'old' but have at least 25 yrs of working ( the way Social security is going) left and tahts reason enough.

Jeannie, this is exactly what happened to Deb!! Last yr. the funding for her Program was cut, and her seven yr. job ended; She immediately applied to go back to college, and get an Assistantship, to defray the ed. costs. Mary

i went to school full time while working full time (before marriage and kids) and it took me 7 years.
DH never went to school and he just finished his first semester in college at 36. i'm so proud of him!!

I want to go back! I've been saying this for a while. I have a BA in PR. I'd love to do Speech Therapy. Right now I'm prego with #2. Not loving my job and the office world anymore.
Plan is to go back in about 4 years. Hoping DH gets more business so we're more comfortable for me to either leave my job and go back full time or do something online or night classes.

I am finishing up my Fashion Merchandising Management degree via online. I do my homework on the train ride home and when Scarlet goes to bed. I really love doing it.

I have my Associate's and want to go back for my bachelor's and then who knows maybe my master's as well but I'll cross that bridge when it comes. Right now my kids are 4 and 1. Will probably wait until the oldest is in elementary and the youngest is in preschool before taking the plunge.
