Any Manhattan ladies have a babysitter they recommend?
DH and I can never really go anywhere unless one of our parents comes down to watch Shane and they live about 45 minutes away. They'll come down some weekend afternoons if we have like a big thing to go to but we feel bad having them come to watch him so we can just go to dinner....which is what we'd like to do this sat night. It's my best friend's bday and her DH is having a dinner for her and we want to go but don't have anyone to watch DC. So if you have someone you'd recommend that would be awesome! This particular weekend it would really be to come watch TV for a few hours as I'd be putting him down to sleep before we leave. TIA

try calling metropolitan sitters--I have heard good things. they have a web site too.

I would be interested, depending on which weekend. I live in the city and I'm a 09 bride on LIW. I have a full time job now but I'm looking to make extra on the side for our trip for our 1 year. I used to nanny in college during my summer breaks and all through HS I worked after school in a day care. I'm on the UES and I'm great with babies and young kids. I watch my 3 year old niece all the time.
