Any ideas for a housewarming gift?
I need to give one and want to spend around $100-$150. Any ideas?

the only reason I'm spending that is b/c they got us one that I know was around $125!!!  they got us an address sign that you stick int he lawn from Frontgage.
any one else got ideas?

I know this is silly, but as a recent newlywed and an upcoming home buyer...I really hope that people go to my bridal registry to purchase a gift if they are the type to give a housewarming gift. Do they have a lingering registry?

No, they have been together, they just bought a beautiful house in NC so even a gift card wouldn't be appropriate. I need something different.

are they into coffee? a really nice coffee maker and some matching mugs and coffee?
I like the idea of what they got you too, but that would be bad to copy, i suppose.
I think some NC boardies here should suggest something. they would know the weather and items that people wish for when they purchase a home down there.

Are they into wine?
We got my BIL a wine rack and filled it with different kinds of wine.
Cuisinart Grine & Brew Coffee Maker could be an option if they are into coffee.
Williams Sonoma has monogrammed welcome mats in different shapes, sizes, and colors also.

couple of ideas:
1 - something that represents their new life. What brought them to NC?
2 - wine of the month club... to help them fill their cellar
3 - a NY item like a Bagel Breakfast
4 - a number of assorted games for game night.... consider classics and some newer games
