Any ideas for a 2 yr old bday theme in Dec or where??
My son is turning 2 in Dec. I have no idea what to do. For his 1st bday we did Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and my inlaws thru it at their house in Florida. Dec in Florida was really nice outside such beautiful weather..with the bounce house and everything. But now its so complicated bc we're going to have it here and its going to be cold. =( Not sure what I can do. I was thinking of doing something small in My Gym. My lo loves Elmo, airplanes and Curious George now. So one of those could be the theme. I was also thinking of something big like throwing a party in a hall. We do have a big family. I feel like summertime there's so much to do. Any suggestions in what to do in long Island? Like in New Hyde Pk, Garden City, Nassau or Queens?? Sorry, Im just out of ideas. =(

For DS's 2nd bday we went to Krazy Kids. How about the children's museum or fire museum?

In the area, how about the LICM? It's indoors and lots to do for the kids.

Since he likes airplanes, maybe the Cradle of Aviation Museum? We did DS's at the Firefighter Museum in there and it was perfect (he is a major fan of all things fire related lol).

For my sons 2nd birthday he loved elmo and we did elmo theme. We did it at a restaurant that had a room in the basement we could rent out. It was buffet style. I decorated the tables with Elmo ballons and had elmo cake and elmo colors for the goody bags. Got everything from Party City. We had an entertainment company come in that did Tattoos, dance had the tunnel thing and made balloons as well as an elmo. Im in NJ but just giving you an idea of what I did.
Here are some pics, this was done in two weeks since we had jsut got AJ the monthbefore his second bday, so Im sure you can do alot more for the theme:
