Any gardners out there?
DH and I are working on our landscaping. I have one lilac bush by our detached garage and I know I want to line the garage with two more. I planted tulips all around my deck in October and they are finally coming up, but lilacs and tulips don't last very long. What else can I plant that has long lasting flowers? Our house is bare since we ripped out all the unkempt stuff that was here when we moved in. We need to start from scratch; the only thing I saved was my lilac.
TIA, Kelly

Re: Any gardners out there?
what kind of flowers do you like? azaleas have long blooms - lavendar - thyme( reblooms - this is a short plant though more of a ground cover)- roses - peony- sounds like you should plant a few different things so you get flowers in stages ( that is what you are looking for ? constant flowers? ) fm me if you need help

you can wait till it gets warmer and plant pansies, impatients, they will last all summer long and go into the fall till the first frost.

I have some rose bushes that bloom continuously through the summer and into late summer. They are called Carpet Roses and are very easy to maintain.

thanks for the ideas...I'm going to try roses, I saw pink and red ones that I really liked.
Thanks again, Kelly
