Any college or graduate school professors?
Curious to know if, when you first applied for your job if you were required to give a demo lesson?
I know they do this for elementary through high school, but is it also common on the graduate level?
ETA - FWIW, this is for a law school, not undergrad.

I was not required to give a demo lesson in order to get the position, but then I was observed shortly after during a full class period...
I think it depends on the school and how much they are in need of your services. I have heard of people having to give a quick 10 minute demo lesson to the hiring committee.

My husband had to give a 45 minute demo lesson to the hiring committee when he interviewed for a position.
