Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
I'm trying to see whats a must-have for my room. Space is very limited, and I'm thinking a glider isn't necessary. Thoughts?

Crashing, but a glider was absolutely necessary for us. DD's room is small but we managed to fit it in there.

I never really used mine. I know other people LOVE them, but we just never used it.

Never had one 'cus of lack of space, would have been nice though 'cus it does make it easier to feed the baby. But if you're not always doing it in the nursery, it's not that important.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
I didn't have one and didn't ever feel like I needed it. I did middle of the night feedings in my bed or on the couch.

We had one and sold it on here. We had limited space but I felt it was important because of all the reviews but after DS arrived it was more comfy feeding him in my bed or on the couch.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
My DD is a year and we still use it for her last bottle and to read. Also nights that she has a cold or is teething badly she lays on my chest while I rock her in the glider. For us it is a must have and love it!

Ita.. I didn't want one and am still happy with my decision. I feed her, read to her in my bed or on our couch.

Absolutely! I didn't have a glider with my first but a rocking chair and I so wish I had a comfy glider. You spend A LOT of time in it and IMO it is a much to be comfortable. I am so getting one for my #2.

my twins are almost 4 months old and we barely use it. I'm hoping once they are older and we read every night we will use it more.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
I have one and used it to elevate my legs when I was pregnant. I didn't use it much after DS was born. DS doesn't like to be rocked. He perferred to be bounced. I used to bounce on my yoga ball while holding him. LOL For nursing I prefer the couch or the bed. I think DH used the glider once to bottle feed.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
We had a glider and I have to admit that we used it a LOT.
We didn't buy a wooden glider. Instead we got an upholstered glider made by BEST Charis that we got at BBB. I figured that this way we could put a slip cover on it at any point to have it match our Living Room if we didn't want it upstairs in the baby's room anymore.
For baby #2 we are probably going to move it down into the living room since we will spend more time down here with the baby.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
Wasn't going to get one because of lack of space, but then my grandparents for me one. I was sooo happy because I really wanted one, but in all reality, it WAS NOT A NECESSARY!! I used it more in the beginning when I was nursing a lot, but now for the middle of the nights nursing, I nurse her in bed laying down..and during the day, I'll nurse her anywhere.
So, we don't even use it that much.
I say not necessary and you will be fine without it!
EDIT: I don't know if we don't use it as much because it's in the living room? That was the only way we could make it fit. 1 bedroom apt

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
I had one & thought it was flat out dangerous. It was too comfortable: I'd fall asleep in it while feeding DS. I stopped using it after that.

Re: Any BTDT moms NOT have a glider?
you do not need a glider, but you do definitely need a comfortable place to sit in the baby's room. Doesn't have to be a glider per se-- just find something that would fit in your space.

I borrowed a glider from my friend and I never used it. So glad I didn't spend $$$ on one. They can be pretty expensive.
