Anti-squirreling a pumpkin?
Every single year, the squirrels love to munch on our pumpkin. Does anyone know anything I can do to prevent them from eating it before October first?

Not sure if it works on pumpkins/squirrels but Home Dept sells a spray that keeps rabbits and deer from eating flowers.
It smells rancid- like rotten eggs and cayenne pepper
But it works and it's not harmful.
Maybe try that?

Anti-squirreling a pumpkin?
Buy a pumpkin for the squirrels and surround it with peanuts to lure them to their pumpkin! Haha maybe it'll distract them from eating yours.

oh, I let them enjoy and buy every year just for them, I save a pumkin for the winter, cut it up and leave it for them to enjoy :)

I always wonder what to do with the pumpkins. Will definitely cut them up and leave them for the squirrels this year.

they love its like a treat, they love the seeds inside.

I love this!!
I dont like squirrels but I will give them a pumpkin or two. We have 5 acres of land so i will just make sure its far away from my house. They scare me. Lol

We always chop them up and put them in the yard after Halloween is over, but I kinda want this one to hang out for awhile without getting chomped. Maybe mothballs? Lol

Rub it with chili oil, or vaseline.

Anti-squirreling a pumpkin?
I soak my pumpkins in a bleach water solution for 5 min after carving amd then coat the design in Vaseline. Keeps the critters at bay and make the pumpkin last longer.
