Anterior placenta?
Does anyone else have an anterior placenta (the placenta is in front of the baby)? I am 20 weeks and I've barely felt the baby move bc of this. It makes me feel crazy and paranoid bc I keep thinking that something is wrong with her.
Does/Has anyone else had this? Did you feel much movement? Did you feel more movement the further along you were?

Re: Anterior placenta?
I did, at 20 weeks movement was very hit or miss, by 26 weeks it was constant..Even if you don't have A.P. movement is not always consistent till 28 weeks. HTH!

Re: Anterior placenta?
One of the babies has an anterior placenta and the other one is posterior. I'm 15 weeks and haven't felt a thing yet.
With my first pregnancy the placenta was posterior and I did not feel him at all until 21 weeks.
I hope you get to feel your little one consistently soon.

Re: Anterior placenta?
I have it, but I was feeling the baby early on. DH just felt the baby this weekend on the outside, I'm 24 weeks. I can feel this baby kick plenty now. Not as strong as my other kids, but I definitely feel kicks. You'll get there.

Anterior placenta?
I had it with my first pregnancy, and it was such a different experience than with this one. Just know that you won't feel the baby as much and that that is totally normally. Try not to let it worry you.

Re: Anterior placenta?
I started feeling flutters at like 22 weeks or maybe later. There were times, I would feel tiny flutters even when I was far along. And some days, when my nerves got the best of me, I'd down some chocolate milk and or some ice cold water.. and DD would give me some jabs and kicks.

Re: Anterior placenta?
its normal to not feel much or anything at 20w even without an anterior placenta.
mine was anterior this time around and I felt her early! it really depends on the individual, how active the baby is etc.
hang in there, by 24-25w, you will feel a ton!

I have it too.. I felt 1 kick around 20-21 weeks but wasn't until later until I REALLY felt anything. I'm 30 weeks now and feel the baby so much more. Hang in there - I know its frustrating!

Re: Anterior placenta?
I had barely felt baby when I went in for my 20 week anatomy scan. I had had flutters one day, that's it!!! During the sonogram, DH asked the tech how it was possible I couldn't feel him since he was punching away. She told me I had an anterior placenta. I was so sad and frustrated, thinking I would barely feel my baby boy. Well a week and half later I was sitting at my desk and boom, he started rolling!!! It was the funniest thing, because I had no clue what it was, took my a minute to figure it out!! Now I yell at my belly when he is moving, he is sooooo strong!!! I don't have "regular" movement, but when I do feel him, it's a lot!!!
