Another what would you prefer? West Islip/Babylon
If you could choose between 2 houses in W. Islip that are very similar (around the same price, same year built, style, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.) which would you pick?
A. House is very close to Route 231 and walking distance to Babylon Village restaurants/bars. West Islip schools- Beech St. middle school. No basement.
B. House is a few blocks south of Sunrish Highway. West Islip schools- Udall Middle school. Not walking distance to Babylon Village bars or restaurants. Has unfished basement.

I don't think you can really go wrong, but I would go for the one with the basement... I think that is a huge benefit. I went to Udall and I have family that teaches there and I think it's a great school. Beach is great too though. I would go for the one with the basement though. Good luck!!

For me would depend on exact area. I grew up in and currently live in West Islip.
Can you hear traffic from either 231 or Sunrise?
If not I would most likely pick house closer to 231. We currently live just south of Sunrise.
