Another what should I do with my hair-UPDATED WITH NEW DO
I literally have had some version of the same hair since I was about 16. My kids are constantly pulling it and I am a low maintenance kinda gal. I don't blowdry(maybe 1-2X a year) but I do use products. Here I am:
Don't mind DH
My hair is LONG almost to my waist but layered
This is a possibility since I think the hair is similar and I want to cover all this new growth at the hairline since having my boys.
Keep in mind it is muggy and rainy here and my hair has some frizz because of that. I really could use brazilian straightening but can't afford that right now.

I'm a short hair kind of girl so if it were me I'd cut a lot off. Like shoulder length maybe with some layers and a face frame. I am not a fan of bangs.
I think the hairstyle you picked is not low maint. You would have to blow dry to get that look.

I'd cut a lot off....no offense, but I rarely see anyone with waist-length hair where it is flattering. You could really modernize your style just by cutting off a good 6 inches...still keeping it long, but just getting all the dead ends off and having more of a style. Most hairstyles (like the one of J Lo) are really high maintenance. So, I would start with cutting a lot off, and then go from there....

I also think the long hair might be pretty high maintenance although it would look beautiful. For some reason, I think you would look really good with a subtle shoulder length bob. I think it would highlight your gorgeous facial features.

Thank you-BUT if I cut my hair short it will be REALLY curly.
I hear ya on the long hair...I have gone up and down with the length but I really want to cover my hairline since I have all this new hair growing back after losing it postpartum. So either a side swept bang or bangs in front....

mine was long and layered..down my bag.
it was bringing me down.
woke up and took the scissors to it...right above my shoulders, one lenght bob.
brought my face back to life.
I do blow it out, but I have dry hair so I can go 3-4 days with a good washing. I just do it at night.
We have similiar hair, I just have a whole freaking lot of it.

I would do bangs(swept to the side) and take about three - six inches. Maybe put some blonde highlights in it too.

Thanks Tania! I was just thinking about you last night oddly! Wondering how you were-I see you have bangs! They look awesome.
To LLanddayday and Wishing-I love the haircuts but I think it would drive me crazy to have bangs in my eyes!
I am open to chopping it even up to 10 inches or so. If anyone else has seen any styles they think would look good feel free to add them

I like your hair. But if you do cut that much off, maybe you could donate it.
How about straightening it. That would def cut down on style time. If you straighten it, What about the old school jennifer Aniston. The face framing layered look with no bangs? I think that would look nice.

looking @ your pics,i think we have similar hair.. and if you dont straighten/blow it out you dont want to go with bangs... trust me! (and if you go short it will be a giant poof!)
then you will have the curls and straight bangs.. i personally dont love that look. i think you need to go to a curly hair specialist and he/she will cut INTO your hair giving it a nice shape so if will look more styled when you wear it natural.
OR go for the brazilian straightening then the pic you posted would be gorgeous!!!!!

the wave in your hair kind of looks like mine. I did bangs a few months ago, because I thought it would hide the greys growing in and I wouldn't have to color as often - BIG mistake. I don't have the time or the interest in blow drying my hair everyday and with the bangs I HAD to.
I would start by cutting to just below your shoulders and keeping the long layers in. This will give you a change, your hair will look healthier and you can always choose to go a little shorter if you want.

I was going to say the same thing. If you have curly hair and don't want to blow it out, then bangs aren't a good idea.
Also the side-swept longish bangs will constantly be in your eyes and will be annoying.
I have thick, curly hair and did the short thing. I actually really liked it, but I did have to blow it out and straighten it all the time.

don't worry about the brazilian straightening. just use a smoothing creme to bring out the layers and get rid of the frizz. my favorite is the brilliante brunette one by john frieda.
