Another wave
I thought I was doing well, but last night on a crowded train, who sits beside me but the newly preggo reading some book about girlfriends and pregnancy and rubbing her belly
THis morning in the coffee shop I ran into a girl I work with, sho I know got married after me and she is definitely sporting a first trimester belly
Does it ever go away?
ETA - it feels like I only focus on this one thing - never the good stuff thats going on, just feeling like crap each time I think about it.
Bummer, I hate crying at work before 9am

Re: Another wave
I find the same thing happening sometimes too. Af will come and my mil or my mom will tell me that so and so are pg and remind me that they were the ones who got married a year after us.
It does come in waves to you

Re: Another wave
I hear everything you say. Doesn't it seem like all you see is pregnant ppl everywhere you go? I just want to touch them or sit where they were sitting so maybe some will rub off! Crazy, I know!!
Feel better. We're gonna get our BFPs!!!!

Re: Another wave
NO....I dont think it does.
I hope you dont find me answering your post offensive, because Im PG, but I wanted to say I understand in a small way. I felt like you did as you know...Well I thought, when I get pregnant, , I will understand better.......Guess what? I DONT...
I honestly still feel disdain at PG women in all their glory because Im super jealous they got to do it the easy way (I dont even KNOW that) but feel it.
So, unfortunatly, its not the happiest of thoughts/posts, but I really think once you are faced with IF..it is always in you, you always feel this sadness, hurt, jealousy etc even when you are blessed with a child..
So the only thing I guess we can do is learn to deal with it somehow.
I am praying for you

Re: Another wave
I know exactly how you feel. I'm usually ok but every once in a while, I break down. That happened to me 2 days ago. My husband thinks I obsess. I don't think so but it is very important to me. Anyway, I'll be starting IVF#2 in a few days and I wish I was feeling better...

Re: Another wave
Donna is right -- you never get over having had IF issues.
Maybe some of those women have gone through what we've been through... I am always amazed when I open up to find out how many people I know did have fertility issues. And I never knew it.
So, perhaps they can be seen as inspiration...does that make sense??

Re: Another wave
I agree with Kara - you never get over the jealous and envious feelings, but at the same time I am amazed at how many people have dealt with infertility since I started talking about it to them.

Re: Another wave
I see both your points, but its gotten to the stage now where we've kept quiet for so long, that its getting hard - I honestly never thought it would take this long.
Our families don't know much and thats one of the reasons we continue to keep quiet
In the beginning we were diagnosed with MF and I agreed to keep it quiet, and then we found my tube closed, so we told them about surgery. Now we're just drifting - I dread seeing his family, half expecting them to ask us.. and half just dreading seeing them. We really don't see my family that much

Re: Another wave
Oh sweetie, I know exactly how you feel. Everytime I turn around someone else is pregnant. I turned down an invite for a Halloween party tomorrow with all of my girlfriends because they all have kids and there will be like 18 them. In my state of mind right now I just can't do it.
