Another toddler with a rash
My MIL just called (the boys are at grandmas) and she said Nicholas has a bad rash that just seemed to appear over the last hour. STarted on his face, hands, and spread to his tush, legs, arms, everywhere
He hasnt eaten anything out of the ordinary. He did play outside at the playground. SHe's not sure what caused it. Daddys picking them up now and bringing benadryl so at least it kicks in for the ride home.
Now our Drs office doesnt have evening office hours on Fridays. Nicholas did seem uncomfortable, from hearing over the phone, he had also just woken up from a nap, but he seemed whiny and said "it hurt" to grandma
Would you -Take him to the ER -Wait for Dr's office visit first thing in the morning. -Go to a walkin medical place (just opened nearby, whats the pros/cons of a walkin vs the ER ?) aside from it being much cleaner
I cant wait to kiss my baby, and we have to keep him away from his little brother I just realized
I dont know what the rash looks like to even describe it yet, they should be home shortly.

Sorry to hear.
Does your drs office have an emergency line where you can talk to somoene and they can help you decide what to do?

Re: Another toddler with a rash
I would bring him to the walk in place. If you bring him to the ER you are probably going have to wait and if it hurts him then I wouldnt wait until tomorrow. I hope he feels better soon

Re: Another toddler with a rash
I would call your regular pediatrician's emergency line and see what they would recommend.

Re: Another toddler with a rash
ITS GONE ITS GONE !!!
My hubby just gave him benadryl as soon as he picked them up and less than an hour later (the ride home) they just got home and he has not one scratch on him
Benadryl works QUICK! should I expect anything to reappear ? I'll keep giving it to him through the nite, so we'll see.
thanks ladies !
