Another TMI question
Are you scared that you will poop during delivery?
I have an extremely bad stomach - and not to be too gross - but anything I eat goes right out of me within minutes.
I was thinking of asking for an enema (sp) so that I won't have to worry about this.
Do you guys worry about this too?

Look at you with all the questions...but seriously...you are not alone in worrying about these things.
I am petrified but not sure if I would or could go the enema route.

Tanaholic had one and said it was fine. I just don't know. Knowing my stomach - those poor nurses will be VERY busy! LOL. I give them so much credit!!
Kristen having this baby this morning really got me to thinking.

Re: Another TMI question
Actually, this doesn't bother me. I hear they see it so much and remove it quickly. I just don't want DH to see it. That'll be the time he goes down to see the babies head and I poop all over. It's supposed to be a happy time for us!!

Re: Another TMI question
How do you do the enema? When do you know when to do it?
I am sure it's not a good idea after your water breaks!!!!
Gosh.. something else to worry about!!

Re: Another TMI question
I was REALLY worried about that for a while...now I am pretty much accepting the fact that it is probably going to happen because all the women I speak to and doctors say almost ALL women do this and dont even realize. The only thing is the smell...ew...but they clean it up right away.

Yes I am. Although I found out I might need a c section so I have really not thought about it. I have heard it is very common though.

Yep!!! The nurses are used to it and there is so much other stuff coming out of you from the front end it didn't really matter!

Re: Another TMI question
I went to the bathroom 4-5 times while I labored at home and that usually happens with labor. Your body is getting ready. But after all that I was still so worried and I could only think about that while I was pushing and I wish I wasn't so concerned. For this one I know what to expect and I really dont care. I think it also helped that when I asked DH if I did he said no that I didn't do it.

Re: Another TMI question
With the constipation I'm having from my vitamins and iron, I will welcome any poop, even on the table.

That and they won't tell you!
A coworker was telling me one day that his wife was in labor and she asked if she had just pooped. The nurses lied and said "No." Her hubby [my coworker] bursted out laughing and said, "They are lying to you, you totally just crapped on the floor."
While I spent a lot of time on the toilet prior to going to the hospital with my first, I cannot be certain I didn't go myself at the hospital. No one said I did or didn't...I just like to think that I didn't.
