Another Testing Question
Hi ladies, This is my first baby and no one in my immediate family has had children recently and I'm just a little confused about blood tests. I had my NT scan at which time they also took blood (not a finger prick just a regular draw). They said the NT scan meaning the sonogram part looked "great." The doctor just told us that very informally after the scan and that the blood work would be back in 7-10 days. They called 8 days later to tell me tht I was anemic and need to take iron so while I was on the phone I asked the nurse if my bloodwork was back to which she replied "do you mean genetic testing?' I said yes I think so. So she went to check with the doctor and came back and said "everything came back negative the doctor just signed off so just take your iron and we will see you in a few weeks."
I thought that kind of cleared me for everything but I'm now wondering if I should be investigating alternate testing like the maternit21 or anything else?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

If everything is normal you don't have the look into other testing unless you really want to. Most won't be covered if you are under 35 and had normal results.
