another soda spinoff

Chewing gum. I recently saw a 2 year old chewing gum. Now that I just dont get at all. Whats the purpose??? At least soda quenches thirst, cereal feeds hunger, but gum......

Definitely not at 2. I was be so afraid of choking. Gum will be a treat just like soda, not something I keep around the house.

Emma had her first taste of gum this weekend. I had to get some for a bridal shower and she saw it and wanted to try it so after A LOT of talking about when she is done chewing to spit it into the garbage I gave her about 1/4 of a piece of gum and let her test the waters. Thankfully she didnt eat any of it.... but then again she is 4

I don't get it either. My kids have never had gum. I consider it a choking issue until they're older. I already have a thumbsucker on my hands. They don't need any more oral fixations.

Gum, no! My 3-year old niece was chewing a piece this weekend and I was like Chat Icon I just don't see a need to at all!

my little cousin get his own pack of gum and he just turned 5 but this has been going on prob since he was about 3 and my son is 2 1/2 Im like absolutely not. plus it stinks because I know when my son sees him hes starting to want it but I have to be the mean mommy and tell him no.
