Re: Another sleeping question
I am having the same problem. My sciatica is killing me, and of course it is on my left side. I try to sleep with the extra pillow to help the left side, but I keep waking up on my right. I don't think tis bad perse, but I think it is better to sleep on the left. Something about the blood flowing & the organs working better if you are on the left.

Re: Another sleeping question
I started to have SUCH pain in my left leg from always sleeping on my left side Right behind my knee... OUCH! it's killing me. It takes me a while to straighten out my leg in the morning.

Re: Another sleeping question
I asked my doctor at the last appt and she said that as far as her preference it's left, then right...never back or tummy. It's okay to sleep on the right if it means the difference between sleep and no sleep..and comfort.

Re: Another sleeping question
Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs. That helped when I was pg with DS.

Re: Another sleeping question
I sleep on either side, but usually end up on my back. The doctor said it wasn't a huge deal.

I asked about this and...
It has to do with the main artery that brings blood flow to your uterus and your lower extremities. there is a lot less pressure on it if you lay on your left.

Re: Another sleeping question
I switch with both sides, but before I go to sleep I prop myself up (about 45 degree angle) on my back and put a pillow under my right butt cheek. That puts the pressure off the leg muscle while I'm settling down and watching tv
