another shoe question
are there any articles or anything written about why kids shouldnt wear shoes at home? if so, can you post links? my mother watches DD and insists she wears shoes all day. i asked her to keep her barefoot but she doesnt want to - she thinks im crazy. is it really beneficial to keep them barefoot or is it just preference?

Re: another shoe question
Our pediatrician advised her that until she knows how to walk, we should keep her barefoot or have socks with rubber soles on the bottom, so she could learn how to stand and move around using the bottom of her soles to feel the ground and test her stability.
Once she learned how to walk, we went out to stride rite and got her a pair or walking shoes.

Re: another shoe question
My twins physical therapist insisted that they be barefoot as much as possible. It helps with balance. and having sure footing when skills progress. walking, running, skipping, jumping etc
