Another Sesame Question

Anyone gone in August?

Me and Christopher (2), my BFF and her two DS' (20 months and 3 months) and my SIL and her two kids (3.5 and 1) are planning to go to Sesame. The first time we can all go is in August.

Is this just plain insane? Will it be too hot and crowded? Should we stay over? I am the farthest away, SIL and her kids are in Maryland and BFF is in South Jersey.

TIA! I've never planned a trip like thisChat Icon

Re: Another Sesame Question

We're going the 3rd week in July, so not much before August. I hope it's not sweltering, but who knows.

We went in August 2 years ago
( towards the end) and it was fine Chat Icon ...We were wet a good part of the time, so we stayed relatively cool...There are also plenty of places to go to get out of the heat...As for it being crowded, I have nothing to compare to since that is the only time we have gone, but for the "ride rides" , we didnt wait more than 10 minutes each Chat Icon

Re: Another Sesame Question

We went in mid August last year - during the week. It was hot, but totally manadgeable. We did the non-water rides as soon as we got out from the character breakfast when it wasn't too hot yet. We saw the ELmo Live show early and then I changed DS into his swim diaper and bathing suit and we hit the water rides.
So when it was the hottest part of the day we were in the water. There are show to go see to get out of the heat and we ate lunch inside to get a break.

We stayed overnight and I know people have done it in a 1 day trip, but for me it was worth it to stay the night. We only went to the park 1 day but we stayed from open to close and were exhausted. Its a long day being out in the heat.
