Another reason I'm glad he's a boy... CANKLES!
My kid has some serious tree trunks for legs, but cute little feet (size 3 right now). He's 3.5 mos old, wearing 9mos clothing (carters) or 6-12mos clothing (gap, gymboree, etc). Gerber don't fit at all - too narrow.
I bought gap 12-24mos socks because the gap socks have always stayed on his feet the best, HOWEVER, they are now cutting off circulation and leaving giant marks on his ankles. They get soooo red.
He also rubs his feet together a lot, so if the socks are large in the foot area, he gets them right off. He gets the cuffed socks off easily too.
I've tried several brands - circo 12mos, gap, absorba from Tj maxx/Marshalls, and gymboree.
I've been trying to put him in feetie sleep-n-plays - I have 3 or 4 of them. He hates fleece though - he gets too sweaty and whines. Just like his Daddy.
Soooo, fellow Moms of cankled children, what to do? what to do...
Thanks!

Hi, my DS is the same. i actually have been using polo socks. not sure of the price, they came in a 6 pack and they are great. there little sport socks but they dont make the indents like the others do and there nice and thick and have little rubber grips on the bottom.

hey nicole. abby has massive cankles. and the absolute tiniest feet known to man. newborn shoes fit her at this point and shes almost 5 months old takes after her mama! but has the biggest legs ive ever seen on a baby. we found that Kohls carries a type of caters called just one year. they are the absolute best. and they have the non skid on the bottom which we love for the exersaucer and jumparoo!

Maybe Carter's socks? I've always loved them from Kohls.
As an aside, size 3 shoe at 3.5 months DS was a 4 at a year when he got his first pair of shoes

I think target carries just one year, too! what size do you buy her?

Ugh I hated that
AJ has no real difference from the calf to the foot expect a small fold where an ankle should be She still LOVES to tug on them to pull them off. But at your son's age it was the worst. I tried everything.
No real solution really... I consider it a phase she grew out of once I put her shoes on more often. She even has 'house slippers' which for her age just means non stiff bottoms.
Old Navy socks were the closest I got to working on her, with Gymboree being a close second. But you've tried GAP so I'm just guessing thats the same as Old Navy right?
The Only Navy brand I used would be the 'packs' of an athletic type sock. They had little rubber images in the bottom that kinda gripped. Hearts, stars, etc. I liked them cause they left the LEAST red mark on her (but she still got one) and were thick to fill in her shoe so she couldn't pull that off too!
Good Luck

Re: Another reason I'm glad he's a boy... CANKLES!
well because her feet are so incredibly small shes still in 0-3 but they fit good around her cankles. her feet grew the littlest bit and now they are starting to slide off because they are a bit too small (i also prob srunk them in the wash im known for that) so im going to get her some of the 3-6 size. but she doesnt wear shoes because NONE of the fit her tiny feet. they come in a set of 3 or 4 ic ant remember but i love them and very cheap! and most of the time are buy 1 get 2nd 50%off. give the a try! hope you like them!

So far the socks from BRU work the best on my son. He's 3 months old and weighs over 16 lbs. too. I get him size 6-12 months. They are the individiual pairs, not the packaged socks. The multi-packaged ones are too short and fall off too easily.
