Another Ped question....Mid-Suffolk Pediatrics

Does anyone use them? We would be going to the office in Islandia. Which doctor do you prefer?

We use the Islandia office

All my DC's see Dr.Reinitz (female) ...I really like her because she can relate very easily to me and my DC's ( she has 2 boys and a girl) and understands that
"by the book" does not always work for everyone

We have also seen many others for sick visits and liked them all (Hoffilena, Manners, Bennet and also the NP Lily Laughton is excellent )

We use the Islandia office and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Not a single complaint. We see Dr Kee.

I love them all!!

We usually see Dr. Rienitz, Peterson, or Lasner.... they rock!!

(all female) my hubby took ds when sick to see one of the male docs and he liked him alot

LOVE the practice. We see Dr. Berman and we LOOOOOOOVE him!!! I cannot say enough good things about him. Absolutely wonderful, knows his stuff, and is SO great with my DD. We are very happy there!! (We go to the Islandia office)

I have used them for 7 years and I LOVE them!! I go to the Mt Sinai office but have used the Islandia office for emergencies on Sundays. I have pretty much seen every Dr in the practice and have not one complaint!! They are awesome!

(My fav docs are....Dr Hofliena,Dr Manners,Dr Lasner,Dr Berman)

I we t there, my little brothers (in HS) still go there, and now I take DS there. As for me and my little brothers, I think we just saw whoever was avIlable. For DS --- he's only had 2 appts so far, with Dr. Kee and Dr. Berman. Dr. Kee seemed good. Dr. Berman... does not seem to have a clue when it comes to EBF or BF in general. Other than that he seemed good. But I won't be taking DS to see him again while we are EBF.

He told me to only nurse 10-20 minutes per breast since after that the breast is "empty" and take another 1.5 - 2 hours to refill. And that if he continues to want more after both breasts, then give him a bottle of water to hold him over. I'm not goin to get in to it, but this is just plain wrong info to give a first time mom who is trying to EBF.

DH was holding our half dressed son and I touched his feet and said, "Awe, they're cold." And I went to grab his socks. He said people get over enthusiastic about the baby's temperature. "Plenty of people have cold feet. As long as his core is warm, he's fine." Yea, but when MY feet are cold, I put socks on them. Why should my baby suffer? SMH...

We just recently switched peds and could not be happier with Mid-Suffolk......we go to Mt. Sinai - we see Dr. Lasner..........

I am considering a switch to this practice. I would be going to the Mt. Sinai office. I'm glad to see such positive reviews.

We usually see Dr Seretoff, but we like everyone there.
