Another L.I. priest sex scandal
I was very saddened to hear the news about yet ANOTHER priest who likes young boys
And I know this man....he has always been a pleasure to work with, very kind and I am so disapointed to hear this.

I heard about this on the news last night. very sad and SICK!
Ironically.......we heard it on the radio last night on our way to a 50th Anniversary event of a church!!
How bizarre......and of course I think most there did not know so I respectfully said nothing to my coworkers last night for fear of being overheard.

He married us. Everyone loved him, he was a great priest. For Christmas he used to bring one of those blow up lawn things of the grinch and talk about it.
Although I was raised Catholic I had a lot of doubts about getting married in a Catholic church. I don't agree with a lot of their policies. It meant alot to DH's family to have us married in a Catholic church so we did. I feel so betrayed I really don't even want to step foot in one again.

He's a dear friend of a great priest I know and I did not even have the heart to bring it up last night or even today when I saw him All these things keep pushing people further & further ....and they can't figure out why people don't attend church

He married us too. He really was one of my favorite priests at that church. My mom and I used to really look foward to the Christmas mask.
And he did the mass at my mom's funeral - I had requested him because she had really like him.
Its really sad!

I am becoming more and more ashamed to be a catholic. I believe a lot of their teachings are a bit archaic and with the new Pope we will be going backwards another 50 years in this respect.
and this priest scandal that doesn't seem to ever stop makes me sad...
