Are they good if you are trying to eat a not too fattening lunch???? I hear this stuff about the high sodium. Does that make you gain weight?

Re: Another LC question
no, but it raises your blood pressure.
Another question though, when is a portion considered HIGH in Sodium?
200 mg? 300 mg? 600 mg? 800 mg?
I've found that most LC's are between 600-700

Re: Another LC question
From Lean Cuisine's Website
Why is the sodium level in your products so high? The sodium levels for our LEAN CUISINE products were set after examining sodium intake guidelines for healthy adults. The U. S. Food & Drug Administration guideline advises that healthy adults should limit their sodium intake to 2400 mg daily. Although LEAN CUISINE is not required to meet any government regulations on sodium restrictions, we maintain a self-imposed guideline to ensure great taste and good health.
What is difference between sodium and salt? "Salt" usually refers to table salt, technically known as sodium chloride. Salt contains about 40% sodium and 60% chloride. "Sodium" refers to a specific mineral, which happens to be part of common table salt. It is sodium, not salt, which is usually studied in relation to health issues.
How much sodium is contained in a teaspoon of salt? One teaspoon of salt contains 2,000 mg of sodium.

Re: Another LC question
I just read something interesting. The South Beach Brand frozen foods have over 50% higher sodium than LC, Healthy Choice & WW brands
"On average, you should consume less than 2,300 mg of sodium per day. In general, foods with 200 mg of sodium or more per serving are considered high-sodium; foods with less than 140 mg per serving are categorized as low-sodium. Check labels to verify the salt content of your favorite foods "
