OK - Don't shoot the dumb blonde!
Here is my question can you eat food that has been prepared in a wine sauce, vodka sauce etc.

If it is cooked, yes. The alcohol burns off during cooking, so as long as the sauce was heated, it should be fine.
Not dumb at all to ask!

the alcohol is cooked out in much less than an hour. once the wine starts to reduce, which takes a few minutes, it should be okay.
there's no actual "alcohol" left in sauce if it's been prepared properly and reduction took place. the point of vodka sauce is the taste, not the alcohol content

alcohol evaporates off very quickly when it's used in food. if it didn't you would get buzzed off the vodka sauce  i would eat it without worrying.

IMO, I dont think the amount of wine that you would actually consume in a serving of wine sauce will harm you.....just my opinion though
