another glucose test question

I am going for my glucose test on Saturday morning. My doctor told me to begin fasting midnight on Friday. Is there anything else anyone did to prepare ( like stay away from certain foods, and if so what)?

Nope. As long as you fast, it doesnt matter what you eat before.

Just make sure that you tell them when you get there its a fasting test. The stupid girl at the lab I went to didnt read the script and tried to make me drink the stuff before taking blood. It's a good thing I had to do it once before and knew they were supposed to take blood before and after!

I fasted the night before and that was it....My Dr never told me to watch what I eat or anything..maybe thats why I failed!
