another gift question
my new extended family includes a young lady (early 20s) who is severely allergic to wheat. sadly, her nuclear family does absolutely nothing to make life/meals any easier for her.
so...
i thought about doing this as PART OF her christmas present from me...
what if i make/bake all sorts of gluten free items... breads, cookies, etc and freeze them. give her a "frozen" basket of gluten free goodies that she can thaw throughout the year.
again, this would be part of her gift; not the whole gift.
yay or nay?

Sounds awesome to me. I think she would totally appreciate that!

another gift question
I saw yay! However what if you buy it or get frozen? A friend of mine is allergic as well and cross contamination is hard to avoid in a house that uses gluten.

Re: another gift question
I say nay. People with severe allergies are usually hesitant to eat home made things because they can't read the labels.
