I just wondered that if your child comes out and says I want to get married to my partner if you would not support them......just a question because I am curious

I was thinking the same thing...I want the world for Josh...if he was gay and wanted to marry and adopt, it would break my heart that he be denied those experiences.

I just wanted to say that if any of my daughters were gay I would want them to have the same rights as if they were straight and I would support them and love them just as much as ever

I love my boys. They are both so good with younger kids. I would never want them to not be able to be husbands or daddies

I've thought long and hard about this one. I saw the struggle my HS best friend had with her family when she told them she was a lesbian. It was horrible. I don't ever want my child to feel that way. So no, I asolutely would not change my mind.

I already support all of this, but if Cailen was gay, I would completely support him!!! Being straight does not guarantee he will get married or be a dad anyway though....

I support gay marriage now, and would definitely if either DC was gay. As an AP mentioned, being a parent doesn't guarantee you'll be a grandparent.... my sis doesn't want to have DC, and my bro doesn't plan on any for a while. One of my BILs will doubtfully have any DC also....

I'm against gay marriage and if my child was gay I would not change my mind on the topic. I would support my child and any partner they may have -- I would want them to be happy -- that's what every parent wants for their child. I have no problem with them adopting a child together either. I would even be perfctly fine with a commitment ceremony between the two. But I would not support them being MARRIED.
