Another gas prices thread
I don't know if anyone noticed, but I think prices went down *slightly* at some gas stations today.
I was off on Friday as well as the weekend and the prices rose on Friday to Saturday by 30 cents in some places. Does anyone else think they raised prices because it was nice out and it was the weekend?
I don't know how they get away with this. Isn't that price gouging? Isn't it illegal?

its really not the gas stations fault...
they make very little per gallon of gas (maybe $.15-$.20) and they have to pay workers, electric, etc.
Its the corporations that supply the gas that make the $$$. and they dont have control over the price of barrels of oil, its market driven.
Since the $$ is weak and Oil is sold in $$s, foreign speculators can get lots of oil cheap, and that is part of the problem.

I saw on Yahoo news that the oil prices have spiked due to a tanker attack somewhere So I only expect them to rise more and more
