Another fun fulled night in L&D
DH and I had what we called our "dry run" last night.. I started having contractions that were pretty uncomfortable at around 7PM. Nothing out of the ordinary, so I went about my business finishing dinner and laundry. By 8:30, they were every 5-6 minutes and they were lasting longer than a minute each I had DH call the doctor who basically said "Do not pass go, do not collect $200, come straight to L&D"
So off to the hospital we went. Got on the monitor and the contractions were all over the place but they weren't consistant now and they had lessened in intensity. The doc came in and checked me and said my cervix was soft but I wasn't dialated or effaced. So they had us stay for 2 hours just to watch the contractions and make sure I didn't progress. Baby's head DEFINITELY dropped though this weekend because with each contraction, I felt like my hip bones were being ripped in two different directions
Oh well. 5 more weeks to go! Let's hope for the real thing next time.

Wow!!!! I can't believe that it's time for this already!!!
Sorry you spent the night worrying...but yea that it's almost here!

I'm glad you saw the doctor and got checked out. You can never be too safe. I have the same due date as you and can't believe we are far enough along to be experiencing this now! I haven't had an internal yet so I don't know if I'm dilated or effaced. I hope I find out at my 36 week appt.
