Another friggin drunk driving accident...
I live in a pretty residential area. Today my friends and DH are sitting watching tv when we hear a really loud crash and after we realize the crash came from outside we all go out (DH is a cop). We get to the car-at this point we only see one in the street-and there are 3 people standing outside the car. At that point we see another car through a neighbor's fence and almost into their house. DH and another cop neighbor go to help the man in the car and by the time they were done, the driver of the car took off running on her cell phone (we didn't see that happen or else I wouldve chased her down!!) and had someone in a truck pick her up! Meanwhile the on duty cops are there and the passengers all have cups in their hands, like they were actively drinking in the car. Can you believe that? This all happened at 4:30 in the afternoon...and it is killing me to think that this chick is going to get away with it. DH thinks that if it is her car, by the time they find her she'll be sober and they'll be no proof she was drunk. What is wrong with people?  for the man that was in the other car...

Hopefully they can track her down and arrest her for leaving the scene of an accident!

leaving the scene of an accident is a crime. so either way, she will get hers.
what a piece of crap!
hopefully the cops who arrived at the scene will get a confession from the passengers that she was drunk.
it would be great if she got convicted of DWI and leaving the scene of an accident

I know. Still, it makes my skin crawl that she took off. When DH and another cop were running through the neighborhood looking for her, one lady was like "She was just hiding behind my garbage pails"...like the piece of garbage she is...didn't even care what happened to that elderly man...

The older man is a volunteer for our FD and he seemed ok-really stunned at first prob bc the airbags deployed, they took him by ambulence but he seemed ok...

Too many people who only care about themselves. And for each one who gets away with it...whether she totally escapes detection or even if she gets a slap on the wrist...that's another one out there who won't think twice about hurting the rest of us or our families again.
