Another driving to Florida question
What time do you leave? I know it's a nightmare getting through the DC area if you leave at the wrong time. TIA

I've never driven straight through to Florida, but have driven to SC and GA several times. We would usually leave between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. That way, we would (usually) beat the traffic on both the Jersey Tpke and around DC.

we left at 3am.. just caught a tiny bit of DC traffic.. wasn't bad at all.
next time i think we will leave a little earlier.

What time did you arrive in SC? We are planning on stopping there on the way down.

What time did you arrive in SC? We are planning on stopping there on the way down.
If we left around 3 a.m. we usually got to the SC state line between 3 p.m. & 5 p.m. But, we would also usually make several stops and would always stop for a sit down for breakfast

we left at 3 am stopped in dover de for breakfast, and took us13 the way down to va, took the cheasepeak bay bridge ( really cool) kids loved it, it is a little longer but a nice ride. then we went over to 95 from va to sc and stopped in florance sc around 8 pm and then it was just a half day ride to orlando from there.
