Another credit card question...
This may be a stupid question, but my DH would get offered more credit with and excellent credit history, right? My credit history is good but not excellent, but I have a higher credit score? What do you think?

Re: Another credit card question...
It depends upon a number of factors... yes, your FICO score as well.
For example, I have a much higher FICO score than my brother but I NEVER fianance anything on a credit card. I just have "healthy" debt, mortgage and once had student loans. I paid everything off when due. I couldn't tell you the last time I received a credit card application in the mail because they know, based upon my history, the cc companies will not make money off of me... I don't fianance and therefore, pay no interest. They loose money on me.
I have a family member who is a completely different story... the exact opposite. I know he is carrrying around "unhealthy" debt... consumer debt... that is probably in the thousands. CC companies look at him and see $$$$$ because he has financed so much on the card and pays minimum balances, they are willing to keep giving him cards, knowing he'll keep charging and they will make $$$ off of him.

Re: Another credit card question...
there are alot of variables that go into play...based on your score, income, current debt, job....its all automated with a bank with pre set guidlelines on what kind of customers they want and if they do, what kind of rate and credit limit would you get. Don't apply together as it will reflect more debt. Keep the cards seperate to raise you chance of getting more...
