Re: Another case of pink eye here...
Is pink eye rampant?
DD had it a couple of weeks ago as did her cousin (which was just a coincidence since they haven't seen each other in months.)

OMG! Michael had gingivostomatitis last year around this time...he had little sores all over his gums and his tongue! His gums were so swollen that you could only see the tip of his teeth...I can only imagine how painful it was! Apparently, thats how they contract the herpes virus. Now, everytime he is sick with a fever, the darn thing pops up on his lip It was awful! I hope David doesn't have that! Hope he feels better!

It took a good week for the swelling to go down and then another week for everything to clear up. Poor little David Try mixing 1/2 tspn of benadryl with 1/2 tspn of Mylanta and apply it all over his gums and tongue. Also, cold ice pops helped. It'll clear up faster. The only thing that $ucks now is like I said, every time he will have a fever, those darn cold sores will pop up and take appx. a week to clear. When you're an adult you can apply something on it, but the little guys have to suffer longer

ugh, this totally stinks! we got some kind of mixture to rub on his gums from our ped. and I am sure slowly it will go away but it is a slow freaking process... I have never had a cold sore in my life so I am assuming he got it from my DH... thanx for answering my questions!

No problem! He didn't necessarily got them from your DH...you could have been at the supermarket, somebody with lesions sneezed nearby and your son inhaled the air...BOOM DONE!
