Another ??

So, Joseph has taken a liking to napping ONLY in my arms...even at night. Is it OK this early or should I try and break it now?? He's 6 1/2 wks...

Logan only naps in his swing or if I'm holding him.....as soon as I put him down on his back in his crib, bassinett or pack n play he wakes up. I asked the Dr at our last apt when I should try to break this and allow him to soothe himself to sleep and he said we would worry about it at around 3-4 months.....(logan is 10.5 weeks)

Miranda will only fall asleep if we are holding her and she's either nursing or being bounced on the stability ball. I usually let her get into sleep then put her down. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. They say you can't spoil a newborn so I'm not too worried yet. At this point with her reflux I just care more that she is sleeping.

thanks! Sooooooometimes I get him to sleep in his papasan seat if I wait long enough to put him down - but it won't be for long...

Emily pretty much only sleeps in my arms or the bouncer. She sleeps in her FP bouncer EVERY single night. She hasn't slept in the crib in a while. I feel like it's a bad habit but it's theo nly way she'll sleep!!!

Joseph would only sleep in my arms or next to me - he's 4 now & still when he wakes up in the middle of the night comes crawling into our bed. I'm not to worried about it - I just wish I had gotten him comfortable in his own bed sooner.

I would try to get her to nap in her crib during the day - just one nap a day, then for the second one, etc...they'll have to get used to it sometime.

Oh wow, I'm glad I'm not alone; I was just about to post about this.

Katherine sleeps fine at night, but like Joseph, will only nap in my arms...so frustrating. I'm going back to work in about 3 1/2 weeks, so I'm hoping she breaks the habit, because my mom won't have any patience for that.
