I went in for my first appt at 6 weeks and saw my baby's hb, and Ive been really excited to go in for my second appt because hearing the heartbeat is always comforting!
I was supposed to have my appt this coming Tuesday and they called to cancel because the dr will be out of the office and couldnt make anything until Nov 5!
That will be 6 weeks since my first appt. sooooo annoying! I just changed doctors and I really like her, but her hours stink.

that is annoying
is there someone else in the practice you can see before then?
although, my doctor sees you for the first time at 8 weeks...youre lucky your dr sees you at 6! and then the next appt isnt until 12 weeks.

I think there is another dr she works with. I just switched to this practice. I went so early because I've had miscarriages in the past.
I just always worry, especially in the first trimester and like hearing/seeing the hb to know all is ok!!

im a worrier too - we all are!
call back the practice and see if you can see the other ob next week. i think in most practices if there are more than one doctor they like you to see them anyway just because you never know who will be on call at the time of delivery
cant hurt to ask - worst case they say no
