Everything I've read says that a lot of kids need up to 7 tries before they like something new. While not a hard and fast number, I would take it to mean that you should definitely try a few more times....

I would try again and maybe put it with something he dose like. I gave it to DS today for the first time and he loved it. I gave him some toast on the side.
