And of course she has a fever, it's Christmas! Is there hope?
My 2 yr old DD was fine all day but then became VERY lethargic, won't eat, is extremely cranky and has a low fever - between 100 and 100.4. No throwing up. I gave her tylenol but she didn't get the full dose because she didn't want to take it and I didn't want to force it down her throat since she didn't have anything in her stomach. Is it possible she will just sleep this off? Or am I destined to cancel Christmas Eve?

so sorry to hear! so hard when they are sick and it's the holidays and you're left wondering what to do in a situation like that. it might be a quick mover and you might not have to worry and i that it is! i would just wait it out and see what tomorrow brings. if your DD is acting better-eating,playing etc. but has a low fever still i would probably go ahead with plans. but if she is still lethargic, not eating or worse, i would probably cancel hope all works out for you and your DD is better soon!!

Anything under 101 really is a fever in a 2 year old... My son runs like that a lot..He is always warmer in the late afternoon/evening/night... Maybe she is teething. Does she have her 2 year molars... My son gets the same way when he is cutting teeth... I would wait until tomorrow and see what is happening..

SAme thing happened to my 2 yo and although I thought it was her molars i decided to call the doc anyway. They had us come in and she has an ear infection. I'm so glad we went! I had no idea my poor baby had an infection!

Well we have that here but DD#2 has 101.2-102.1 here but no other symptoms.
My ped always says a fever is 100.4 plus - so really she is borderline with 100-100.4. It could be anything. I think I would wait it out and see how it goes.

Hope she feels better! My son has been sick most of the week. First it was the stomach thing (no vomiting just severe nausea), then a fever, and now has a cough. A lot of kids in my daughter's pre-school have been sick this week also. Tis' the season!

DD had a fever and diarrhea yesterday. She took an almost 5 hour nap ! I gave her Tylenol and she slept for 12+ hours last night. She is back to her normal self today- eating well and a temperature of 98. Give Tylenol again and I hope she bounces back quickly!
