Re: Amish Country
We have stayed at this B&B twice. I can't recommend it enough. The couple that owns it are very nice and the breakfasts are out of this world.

We like doing the backroads - stopping at farm stands, getting soft pretzels(actually we usually get about 6 of them for the two of us because they are THAT good) Get them at Ronks Countryside Roadstand 2966 Stumptown Rd, Ronks, PA 17540 l
On the backroads between the country side road stand and on your way to intercourse, there are also places to stop in- we like stopping in to the quilt shops. Beautiful quilts!!
We enjoy Rumspringa brewery http://www.lancaster-gallery.com/ They have wine too, but their beer is far superior to their wine.
We love popping into the Amish Furniture stores. They have amazing pieces at very reasonable prices. There are a couple across from kitchen kettle village.
Stopping in Strasburg to get awesome ice cream and taste some wine - the wine is alright. Free tastings. http://www.strasburg.com/Strasburg-Village-Inn/ We also stayed at the Inn one time and really enjoyed it. If we go back and can't get a room at Richmond house, I'd stay here again.
I very highly recommend this restaurant in Ephrata. It was SO good when we went this summer. Its nothing fancy at all. And Bring your own bottle of wine. http://aromasdelsur.biz/
We enjoyed visitng the town of Lititz. It was a nice place to walk around for a little bit.
We also visited Waltz Vineayrds. It was a nice vineyard and good wine. http://www.waltzvineyards.com/

we stayed and ate at Miller's. It was awesome. We also did a buggy ride, like on a wagon, and an 18 year old amish kid (who was going through rumspringa, sp?)showed us around and really let us know a lot of their culture and why they do things....it was super interesting!

Re: Amish Country
DH and I went to the Wolf Sanctuary in Lititz. That was amazing. We also really enjoyed the Eastland Alpacas farm in Mount Joy.
