American Idol live is at Jones Beach this year !
Yes, I go to the AI concerts 
Usually its at Nassau Colliseum, so I am excited to see it at the beach for a change ( Can you tell I don't get out much ? )

For the past 2 years, they have done the top 10 performers individually in the order of elimination...Usually they will throw in a couple of duets but thats all...
In years past ( I have gone to all but 2) , they used to do individuals, duets and groups which I actually preferred...There was a little bit of element of suprise ( you never knew who was coming out next and who was inging with who)

You see people from age 2 to 80 !!!
Families, teenagers, couples young and old....
I think it's absolutely hysterical

I've gone before. I prefer it the old way too. I wasn't thrilled the last time I went because of the individual performances only. I prefer the surprise element too. I have no interest in seeing this particular group though.
