AMC Renews Walking Dead for Third Season
AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a third season.
"Today we are pleased to announce that the 'dead' shall live as we proudly renew The Walking Dead for a third season on AMC and, globally, with our terrific partners at Fox International Channels," AMC President Charlie Collier said in a statement Tuesday. "We are thankful for everyone's contribution in front of and behind the camera as we continue to make The Walking Dead a unique television experience. And, we are so proud as it continues to set viewership records around the world."
The renewal comes as no surprise after the zombie drama's Season 2 premiere shattered ratings records last week, bowing to 7.3 million viewers. The opener also delivered 4.8 million among 18-to-49-year-olds and 4.2 million in the 25-to-54.
AMC did not specify an episode order or a target premiere for Season 3. Season 2's 13 episodes will be split into two parts, with the first six airing now and the remaining seven episodes to return in February.
Also being brought back for a third season: Comedy Central's Workaholics. Kent Alterman, the network's head of original programming and production, announced the renewal Tuesday, saying:
"We feel like the show is one, big public service announcement, teaching the youth of America how to engage with the workplace."

This is a great show. DH and I both love it. He'll be happy to hear this news.
It's the only show that makes my heart race for the entire length of the show.....and even when I'm watching a touching moment between a deer and a boy.

I'm always tense cause you know during those slow moments that something is going to happen AT ANY MOMENT!
