Am I wrong
My friend was having her 30th bday party tonight and I just didnt feel up to going. I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been having contractions as well as dilating. Well I find out SHE IS MAD AT ME??!!! I was in the hospital last friday with contractions that ended up stopping and have hardly left my house since. She said to me, "Well I was dilated for weeks and felt fine to do things" I would NEVER get mad at a friend who at the end of her pregnancy is not feeling up to anything. I just dont understand how she can be mad at me. Am I wrong??

She has no way no knowing how you feel. She may have been dialated, but didn't feel like crap. Every pregnancy is different. She is wrong for being pissed at you. Screw her!

She's probably more disappointed and just misses having you around than mad at you. You're her friend and she wishes you felt better and could be there on her special day. I'm sure as a friend she isn't actually "mad" as in angry -- it's probably just that she wishes you could be there. I'm sure she understands and just wants you to feel better!

My bitchy pregnant self says "If she were really your friend she wouldn't be 'mad' at you over this". You're very pregnant and she has no business getting mad that you can't attend a silly birthday party. What is this, 7th grade?
Don't stress over it, I think it's more than understandable why you don't feel up to going. It's not like you're saying "Sorry, I have a headache".

Would she be happier if you forced yourself to go and ended up giving birth on her living room floor? Her selfish attitude tells me no! I just had my first baby in May a full month before my due date. While in denial that I was contracting, I was pushing myself to do things like walk to the post office to mail my MIL's bills for her because she went away on vacation.That night I was in L and D getting fluids because I was contracting.My baby was almost born in the car on the way to Winthrop the next day because I was convinced it was false labor and waited to go back. Bottom line is you don't know when baby will decide to arrive. Relax and don't sweat this. Keep baking that beautiful baby and take care of you and your family!

No, you are absolutely not wrong. Thats insane that she would be mad at you ... At 30 yrs old you would think she wouldve grown up by now.
Dont stress about it. She'll realize what a jerk she was soon enough

NOT AT ALL!! I missed my friends birthday party when I was 10 weeks. I was fighting all day/night time sickness and extreme exhaustion! She was going out to the club; and there was NO way I could stay up past 10pm to go out. And the thought of being tired and sick around people drinking and having fun wasn't very exciting. Instead I took her to lunch to celebrate her bday the following week.

Nope! I am only 24 weeks and have not went to a single friends 30th bday party. Tell her to get over it and quickly cause there are bigger things in life to worry about.
