Am I the only one
who did not have her Beta taken right away? My doctor scheduled me for the regular blood work and genetic testing (including beta) in 3 weeks...Is it bc everything seems fine?

Ditto this.
And I didn't do my first bloodwork until around 10 weeks.

Re: Am I the only one
I'm going to get my beta levels checked today at 7 1/2 wks. I purposely didn't get it done sooner because last time I had a m/c & the beta levels drove me crazy.
Don't worry. The ultrasounds are a better indicator of the pg than anything else when it's so early on.

Re: Am I the only one
MY doc has never taken a blood test to confirm or check levels with either pg. My first blood test was at 16 weeks for the quad screen (AFP) test.

Re: Am I the only one
I didn't for either - I think when women have it checked they have had trouble conceiving or a previous m/c at least that's why I thought they never checked mine
