Am I the only lunatic already thinking about Christmas pictures? My DD will be 4 months old next week and I'm so excited for her Christmas pictures!

Yeah I can pass on that.
I can't stand winter so I never rush into wishing away this perfect weather.

And judging by last year, what a PIA it was to get a decent picture of her.

I think about next year's card pics as soon as I take the current year's card pics (sometimes earlier). But that's because I "stage" the photos with DC, so I need to come up with some sort of scenario for them to pose in. Last year, it was them with a huge "wish list", and a table full of catalogs. The year we finished the house addition, I had them posing in front of the new house.

I have this year's staging mostly figured out in my head since last year.

while i think its a little early some photographers have already posted about holiday mini shoots so i guess you wouldnt be the only lunatic

you would be surprised how many book early because most photographers do not shoot minis past mid November and many only do one or two days so if a seat is booked its book.
