Am I crazy?

One of my all time favorite bands is playing at Mulcahy's on August 2nd. I'll be 37 weeks.

I really really want to go see them but not sure if it's a bad idea. Not much if any places to sit at Mulcahy's. This band can produce a rowdy crowd, but I'll stick to the back. I can drink a ton of water and if it gets too hot I guess I'd have to leave.

Honestly, I would not go to Mulcahy's at that point. I went before getting PG to see Dale Earnhardt, Jr, and the crowd got very rowdy & there were not enough bouncers to control the crowd. I never leave a bar b/c I feel unsafe (I worked in bars for over 13 years & can more than fend for myself) but it got really ugly really quickly & I was l getting pushed by the crowd.

Can you see them somewhere else? Are they playing in a more"friendly" place?

Well being I am 37 weeks right now, I would kill people at bars if they touched me, bumped into me and there's no way i could stand on my feet. My feet swell soo easily and begin to hurt when I stand for too long, not to mention my back starts to hurt.

I think you should play it by ear. You might be so exhausted and uncomfy by then.

I purchased Live Earth tickets and I gave them up because I didn't think I could handle it. It's next month and I'm only 5 months. I guess you should just consider everything and if you have any doubts don't go.

This is a festival so I was thinking long show, July heat and lots of walking. I just said forget it.

If I were you at 37 weeks I would just stay home but that's me. I don't think you're crazy if you go. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and ask for a bar stool or something to rest from time to time.

Thanks for the input. I think you guys are right and just needed to hear it.

I guess if I feel super great that day we'll go but it probably won't happen.

I had Yankees ticket for last weekend game and did not go... too advanced in pregnancy. We sold the tickets!

I think at a certain point, you just have to take it easy and not go too far from home, hospital, etc..

I just hit 37 weeks...no way in hell I'd be comfortable in bar. I get nauseas, I'm a narcoleptic, I'm moody, I feel huge, my achy back...

I'd play it by ear. Maybe you'll feel well enough to go. All the reasons I wouldn't go are less to do with worrying about hurting the baby and more about my high level of discomfort these days. I can handle a night at the movies and that's about it these days.

You have to make your own decision on what you're comfortable doing. I went up to Mohegan Sun @ 39 weeks. Everyone said I was crazy to go to a casino at 39 weeks, but I felt good and didn't feel why I couldn't go. I wound up having a great time and won $500. The casino dealers and security got such a kick out of me walking around the tables almost ready to give birth, and when I rolled the dice on the craps table everyone cheered. LOL!

Im 37 weeks and I would totally see my fav band right now. I would just hang out somewhere safe.

I guess I would see how I felt it meant that much to you - I was def. in no shape at 37 weeks to be hanging out at Mulchays but every pregnancy is different.

I would never have been able to handle it.

I think if it wasn't at a bar and you could definately sit down then maybe it would be doable, but a bar that will probably be crowded and sweaty? No thanks.
