Am I being unreasonable??? UPDATE
They brought DH's dad home from the hospital today and DH's mom invited us over for dinner at 5:30pm. However, I am still at work and will not be leaving until 6-6:30pm so I told DH to go ahead and I'll just meet him at home later. He asks me where I'll be eating and I told him my mom is making my fave meal (a filipino dish) so I'll just run over there after work since it's near my office, grab something and see him at home. He is PI$$ED! He feels I should go to his mom's house and see his dad and hang out. I've seen DH's family every night this week at the hospital visiting and is it wrong that I want to eat 1 meal with my own parents???? Uggghhhhh...
Update: Ok, we are going to compromise. I'm going to eat at my moms and DH will eat at his moms. Then I will go to DH's moms house and spend the evening with the family.

Although I do not think you are being un-reasonable, I do see where he is coming from. I would go. I know I would be ****** if the tables were turned.

IMO i think i would go to the FIL's house
You can eat 1 meal anytime with your parents i am sure...
IMO DHs dad coming back from the hospital comes first and i would go to show support

Tell your mom whats going on, and to make you a dish. Pick it up, and go to your In Laws. I know sweetie, it sucks when we want to be 2 places at the same time, but we cant be everywhere.

I agree. I would go to DH's mom's house. It's not about the food -it's about you being there with him because his dad is coming home.
Ask your mom to save you some leftovers if it's really an issue or order out.
